Short items and those of biographical interest only are housed exclusively in this collection; longer items and those of broader historical or analytical interest are housed in articles, essays, books, and other collections, and are merely cross-referenced below. For example, all 69 profiles Abdu'l-Baha wrote for Memorials of the Faithful are indexed below as separate entries, but are linked to the book which is actually online at bahai-library.com/writings/abdulbaha/mf.
Arabic and Persian names have been alphabetized as well as possible, but standards vary and some names may be out of usual order. As well, some Arabic/Persian names have hyphens, and others don't. Please email if you can help standardize the spelling and alphabetizing of these names (using Shoghi Effendi's, Taherzadeh's, and Balyuzi's books as references). Also please email us if you can help insert the many dates missing below (we'll provide a copy of the Basic Baha'i Chronology).
Because of the length of this index, names have not been cross-referenced from alternate spellings or alphabetization; for example, the Son of the Wolf is only listed under "Ibn-i-Dhib," his Arabic name. Use your browser's "Find" feature to search the index if you can't find the name you're looking for.
