Letters

From the NSA of Iceland

Dear Friends,

We gratefully acknowledge the receipt of £2,075.00 from the friends in the United Kingdom to support the work of the Faith in the Faroe Islands. This is indeed a generous sum and will be very much welcomed in assisting travel teachers and pioneers to participate in the building up of the community in the Faroes. Already we now see a need for at least one pioneer to maintain the existing three Local Spiritual Assemblies this coming Ridván...

The long held hope of establishing a Youth Café in the National Centre in Torshavn (a project which we described to you two years ago) now looks like becoming a reality with these funds and others now available in the Deputisation Fund as well as the offer from a young couple from Europe who are willing to short term pioneer to the Faroes to run this Café. Both are musicians.

We are also extremely grateful for you intention to place this Deputisation Fund in your National Budget for the coming Five Year Plan period. With deepest appreciation to your Assembly as well as to your community for its continued support in this very challenging task of consolidating the Bahá'í community in the Faroe Islands,

Bridget McEvoy, Secretary,

National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Iceland

Public Library Guide?

It would be much appreciated if the friends could advise whether or not their public libraries display a shelf guide for the Bahá'í Faith.

We are trying to establish this in Guernsey, but so far without success

Please contact: Mrs E.Sweet via the National Office.
