Excerpts from books

While there are thousands of mentions of the Baha'i Faith in non-Baha'i books, only a few hundred have sufficient content to warrant posting here. Anyone wishing to scan/type and submit any more excerpts is encouraged to do so; write to . For chapter-length excerpts from books, see also Published Articles. If you need an excerpt from a book not included here, see my personal library catalogue to see if I have it and then email . See also the scans of items held by the Cambridge library.
Excerpts listed alphabetically by title. All excerpts are short enough to be considered "fair use" and distributed here for nonprofit educational purposes; full copyright restrictions apply and no reprinting permission is assumed. (See a discussion of "fair use" on the copyrights page.) Only paragraphs and pages with mentions of the Babi or Baha'i religions are included here; for the rest of the text, the reader is encouraged to support the authors by purchasing a copy.
