Re: The Greatest Holy Leaf - Bahiyyih Khanum's shrine

Dear Brett, Thank you for providing these additional references. Your information about the World Centre distributing a small pamphlet may be a helpful clue in eventually finding this prayer. With appreciation, Larry I was given this leaflet when I went on pilgrimage to Haifa and have it somewhere ...

Re: Teaching English to Persians

Great initiative... well done! I dont know if you will find this input useful, but I have actually seen a "Bahai" dictionary (i.e. it specifically lists words and even phrases, I think). And the dictionary translates words between English and Persian. The only place I've ever seen this dic...

I havent seen any, either, but it does bring to mind this quote from Abdulbaha: "If we are not happy and joyous in this season, for what other season shall we wait and what other time shall we look?" ( Im quoting from memory, so it might not be exact / word-for-word) There's a sentence in ...

Dear Jonah Not that Im trying to be a "kill-joy", but do you know if these books have been approved by the National Spiritual Assembly of the country where this person lives (Im assuming Canada)? (This is just to safeguard the Faith, that's all. Im not implying this person is a trouble-mak...

What is everyone doing for the Ayyam-i-ha period?

Hi everyone I was wondering what everyone else will be doing in their communities to celebrate the Ayyam-i-ha period I know it's leaving it a bit late (considering the fact that Ayyam-i-ha finishes on March 1st), but in our community, we'll be having a dinner first, followed by a unity feast Au revo...

Re: Meaning of "His Chosen Ones"

Dear friend, In Bahai Writings, what's the difference between "the Chosen Ones (of God)" and "the chosen ones (of God)"[not capitalized]? Some say the former refers to the Manifestations and Holy Ones like Ali and 'Abdu'l-Baha, while the later refers to the ordinary true believe...

Re: reasons why the bahai faith is not a cult

Friends, I'm not sure if 'cult' or 'religion' are significantly different designations. It is true that the word 'cult' is more often intended to be derogatory, however, even the word 'religion' has come to carry a certain negative connotation in recent times. I am reminded of a particular religion...

Re: "Unrestrained As The Wind" online?

Since I made that post, I realised that the book is published by "Bahai Publishing Trust". For some reason, I thought the publishers were "George Ronald" or something - that's why I made the comment. But yes, I agree with you, it's best to share the writings.
