Re: Covenant breakers

forgive me, but "exaggerated emphasis" feels like a bit of a slippery slope in the direction of lying.

i'm not suggesting that abdul baha EVER lied!! but the idea of suggesting that he spoke anything but plain simple truth makes me feel very uncomfortable.

Covenant breakers

Whilst perusing (I love that word, lol) one of the other topics here about Baha'u'llahs photographs (http://bahai-library.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5010) I came across this quote.. And now, one of the greatest and most fundamental principles of the Cause of God is to shun and avoid entirely ...

Prayers or writings in Polish

Does anyone know if I can buy a prayer book, or get the Tablet of Ahmad, in Polish? We have a new declarant who wants/needs to read it in her native language, but apart from an online PDF of the Hidden Words, and a few prayers on the Polish Baha'i website, I can't find anything. Bahai books UK doesn...

Does the Obligatory Prayer have to be said out loud?

I work in an office with a number of other people, and sometimes I'm not able to find a private place to say my obligatory prayer (normally at lunch time). I find it preferable to do it at this time, as when I get home there is often so much going on, with the children, etc, that I often forget. So....

Re: dhikr and contemporary pop music

yeah, I've watched it a few times. It is truly beautiful. But for those who haven't...have a box of tissues handy ;o) For me, it is uplifting. The "good samaritan" helping the tramp, just proves that each one of us can make a difference. Like the question in the Evan Almighty movie.... &qu;...

Re: Some questions & concerns regarding the Baha'i Faith

Hi Ian, and a warm welcome to the forum. If you're looking to ask those deep (or small) questions, you've come to the right place. I too am a new member, and find the people on here extremely friendly and a great deal more knowledgeable than I. Like you I've been going through a period of asking que...

Pilgrimage hotels

Hi all I suspect this topic has been covered before, but if it has I can't find it, lol. I am going on nine-day pilgrimage with my wife and three children in October 2009 and would like to know which hotels/guest houses can be recommended. I've had a look at the Dan Panorama, but it's going to be to...
