video game

Hi, long time no see.

I saw a video game on the internet called the 7 valleys,
but it has nothing to do with the writing of the same name.

So, what do you see that is so important in the old stuff, which is not very well translated most of the time ? Even if I did read the bible, the gospel, and the qur'an before I studied this most great (written) revelation, I do not feel the need to make philosophical comparisons with old documents....

The Plan is probably in one of the
"Makatib" books, somewhere. Ask Mujoon Moomen
where it is.

Old scriptures are useless for true baha'is?

Even if we recognize older religions, it does not mean we need to read their scripture to progress. "Entirely disregard" is a clear prescription. Baha'u'llah says: turn your eyes towards this Great Revelation, and entirely disregard these conflicting tales and traditions. (Gleanings 87, or...

the older the scripture, the more we may be mislead

Dear british friend: Read the persian bayan, where the Bab compares the previous scriptures we received, and shows their gradual obsoletness, as newer scriptures emerged. Most muslims will tell you not to insult their Quran, because they revere a book, wich is now obsolete. We Baha'is do not care ab...

hello

Dear Richard: Some people say, the truth is the truth, and everything outside the truth is not the truth. Logically, it sounds quite "true". But any truth, or any "true" faih, is not eternal. Should I risk: it is true for an era, an epoch, a time span ? We baha'is know, from our ...

small details

Dear BW: You are right. Our Messenger and his son, and Shogi Effendi refer to the haddith and the cititations of the past (koranic, gospelic, or else) wihch are absolutely right. This does not mean every hadithh invented by Bukari is okay. Any way, besides the immense knowledge transmitted to us thr...

Thank you BW.
Since Dr Khalifa declared in the 70's that most hadith (especially those from Bukari) are invented stories, I ignore all of them. What has been written by Sana'i, Ayttar, Rumi and Hafez have a much greater intellectual weight than invented stories.

note on citations

Dear warrior : This part of the valleys, as many others, is not very well translated, either in English nor in French. I am working with people in Teheran, as well as with an Iranian baha’i in Montreal, to produce a much clearer translation. As an example, the first sentence sounds more like: There ...

Dear Richard;

I am glad you react that way.
I wrote this to spike you a bit.
You know my direct style.

I hope that soon, the messages of Baha'u'llah
will be so well translated that all religious communities
can build communication bridges.

Dont you realize that the presence of mind

Knowledge is a single point,

real baha'is tell it like it is

Here again my good friend Richard tries to embark us all on a Jesus trip and to make us do useless comparisons with the Baha'i writings. Dear Richard:
What are you looking for in this spiritual search ?

I see the term Unification is an inner process, a brain
re-enforcement, and not a communication with some external entities.

Dear Irish; The study of arabic and persian is fascinating for us westerners. Sometimes when the original text is re-typed from manuscripts, typing errors occurs or some conventions are not respected, like putting a "ya" with two dots at the end of a word, etc. Keep in mind that early English transl...

it's like a spaghetti

It seems you have the malady
the messengers try to heal, but
in your case, it is enhenced by an hyper-intellectualisation.

Ovbiously you do not read the Baha'i remedies,
and it shows. We friends cannot undo the
mental spaghetti that drives your mind.

I offer you my sympathy,
Majnun
