Re: The Bab's claim to be Qa'im

In Hadith 14698 of Al-Kafi (volume 8 ) it states in regards to the Quranic verses 17:4-6:""...it was a promise that must come true." [It is a reference to reappearance of al-Mahdi with divine authority and power] "...then We will turn your chance against them." It is a refer...

Re: The significance of 19 is foretold in the Qur'an!

In the Hidden Words, including first, second, third, but excluding "fifth" and "eighth" gives 41 numbers equaling 43. Thus, 41*1.195=43, another 1-9. However, with the fifth and eighth equaling five and eight, it gives 43*1.44=63. A "44" nonetheless like 1844.

Re: The significance of 19 is foretold in the Qur'an!

In Gems of Divine Mysteries there are 70 numbers including "first", "second", "third", and "fourth". Equaling the numbers signified the total is only 137, which means 70*1.957=137. Another 1-9. Seventy is significant for "seventy meanings".

Re: The significance of 19 is foretold in the Qur'an!

In the above two books the fractions were not counted. However, in the Kitab-I-Aqdas the total numbers including fractions is 127 if added like the above two books, and the numbers add up to 2494, which is 127*19.637=2494. Thus, there is another 19! It would seem that Baha'u'llah's writings abide in...

Re: The significance of 19 is foretold in the Qur'an!

In the Seven Valleys there are 80 numbers. If the "hundred thousand" are counted as one hundred and one thousand, then all 80 add up to 6527. It turns out that 81*80.38=6527, so the mean-average of the numbers in the Seven Valleys almost equals the amount of numbers. In the Kitab-I-Iqan th...

Re: The Bab's claim to be Qa'im

In Hadith #14777 of Al-Kafi (Volume 8 ) it states: "When our Qaim will rise, Allah will extend the hearing and seeing (powers) of our Shiah, thus, they will not need a postal system." This could be seen in the telegraph message which occurred the same day that the Bab declared His mission ...

Re: The Bab's claim to be Qa'im

Many Hadiths were readily available about the [[al-Qaim Ali Muhammad]], which include: In [[al-Kafi]], [[Abdullah ibn Abd al-Muttalib]] tells of the Qaim and the resurrection of the dead whose signs can be seen in the arising of the Babi community: "when our al-Qaim will rise, Allah will raise ...

Re: Why a Messenger after Muhammad?

In reference to the Adamic Cycle completed, Ali, the Commander of the Faithful stated, in Al-Kafi volume 8, p. 22: "Allah completed the system of warning and presentation of proofs with him (Muhammad) and stopped arguing about and providing proof of the status of His friends who possess divine ...

Re: Masturbation and sex in the Baha'i Faith

In AlKafi Volume 5 Hadith #10134 it says "About one's playing to cause his semen to discharge 'He is like going to bed with himself an there is no punishment on him (but it is like fornication as regards to sinfulness).'" Also near the end of volume 5 is says that the Messenger of God cond...

Re: Prayer in bahai faith?

In alKafi Volume Three, (Islamic Seminary Inc. New York), it states that the only required Wudu' (obligatory salat/prayer washing) is the area of the face that the right hand can cover from the top of the forehead to the tip of the chin, then washing the left and right hands.

Re: Why was congregational prayer abolished?

alKafi volume 3 states that salat (prayer) is acceptable next to woman as long as she is not praying. In another Hadith, the Imam, alayhi alSalam, states they can say it together as long as they are ~18 inches apart. Also, I found in a writing of the Bab on bahai-library.com that the Bab has said al...

Re: Masturbation and sex in the Baha'i Faith

alKafi Volume 3 also promotes washing the right and then left shoulder first; falling asleep after masturbation is okay and can wash when awake. Moreover, anal sex is okay (of course between man and wife) as long as he washes off afterward, and, if he ejaculates, she must wash. Further, foreplay is ...

Re: Tattoo

In the KitabiAqdas: we are to attire:
Our heads with trustworthiness and fidelity (mark for a thief)
Hearts with fear of God (Allahumma)
Bodies with courtesy (my original tattoo thought - if my sister has a tattoo, then I should be like her)

Re: Tattoo

In "Gate of the Heart" by Nader Saiedi, on page 169: "The Bab even allows the believers to have a tattoo on their bodies: since the heart is the seat of the love of God, the Bab states that it is permitted that the phrase "O Thou My God"(Allahumma), for males, and "the ...
