Re: Returning to Faith
It's my understanding that you don't need to "do" anything to be, or return to being, a Baha'i. As long as you believe in Baha'u'llah and don't undermine the Covenant (e.g. by questioning the legitimacy of the Institutions), I think you're good to go. This quote from the Aqdas, which you'v...

Once again I'm passing on a question I don't have the answer for. Thanks, everyone! Re: online Library Science degree (not Baha'i-related)
Thanks, Dame! Yes, we do get a ton of spam. To cut it off before it gets posted, we have a couple security things turned on. First, we approve all new registrations before people can post, and usually it's easy to tell what's a spammer name (like xqxpx321) vs a real name (like fred22). Second, all p...

online Library Science degree (not Baha'i-related)
I just got an email asking me to link to http://librarysciencedegree.org/ . I assumed it was link-exchange spam, which I get dozens of a week, but it looks legit. I'm so happy to get an (apparently) legitimate link-exchange request that I've posted it here. :santaclaus: Here's the blurb I received: ...

Re: Do you want to help proofread Baha'i Writings?
Thank you, Sara! Please do consider contacting the Proofreading Project (email address given above). I would love to have your help proofing material at this website, but truthfully I think your efforts would be better spent with them, because this Baha'i Library is pretty much a one-person project ...

Well, I don't know anything about tanks, but the rest is pretty spot-on. No lines at the washroom is probably the biggest perk.

And on the web there's no review at all, so all's good for us.

Re: smilies arent loading
BTW, it appears that a few years ago I installed a duplicate of smileys in German. I'm clearing out the duplicates now, but there will still remain a few that have German listed for the "emotion" code. The software is still buggy, I can't install new smileys because I keep getting an error...

I had disabled avatars because I felt they made the forum look cluttered.
But I can be talked out of it. Is there overwhelming demand for avatars? Anyone?

Re: smilies arent loading
It was an upgrade problem. I fixed the smileys. Some will still have problems, e.g. the sizes might be wrong resulting in smileys that look squished or mis-shapen. But oh well, at least you now have 200 to choose from.

Re: Is everything working?
Thanks! I'll un-sticky this post.
BTW, I restored the 1997-2003 archive. There are some gems in there (along with some junk, of course.)
