They are obviously not Manifestations of God as in perfect Prophets from God, but there is much praise of music and musicians (whose hearts mirror God's attributes). We also believe that the arts are inspired by the influence from the next world. You may be interested in this compilation on Music.

One interesting excerpt...

...the Teachings of God, whether they be in the form of anthems or communes or prayers, when they are melodiously sung, are most impressive. It was for this reason that His Holiness David sang the psalms in the Holy of Holies at Jerusalem with sweet melodies. In this Cause the art of music is of paramount importance. The Blessed Perfection, when He first came to the barracks (Acca) repeated this statement: "If among the immediate followers there had been those who could have played some musical instrument, i.e., flute or harp, or could have sung, it would have charmed every one."

("Table Talk" Acca, July 1909, quoted in "Herald of the South" (January 13, 1933), pp. 2-3)

best wishes,
Brett

Not all the painter are artists, as not all the instrument player are artists in the true sense of art. Those who just learn the techniques of an art, are only at their best, good technitians. They still have not got to the level of art. True artists are rare.
Many forms of art can be copied. Song writing is one that is hard to copy. If you listen to the interviews with good songwriters, when they ask them how they write their stuff, they say, they only try to listen to what comes to them, that they remove themselves and try to be a good receiver.
Art has to do with expressing feelings, and only the one who can feel good , has something to express. This feeling is not scientitic facts or logic, since in that case it would be science.
