Children of Baha'u'llah

Postby c3ponds » Fri Dec 13, 2013 5:30 pm

Various sources state Baha'u'llah and Navvab had seven children, four of them dying as infants or toddlers. One who passed on so young is daughter Sadhijiyyih, who passed at 18 months old, about the time of departure from Constantinople. Are names for the other three, plus birth and death dates, and causes of the death, recorded anywhere?

Thank you!

What has recorded in Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, the names for the other children of Baha’u’llah and Navvab than Abbas(‘Abdu’l-Baha), Bahíyyih Khanum (The Greatest Holy Leaf) and Mirza Mihdí (The Purest Branch), were as follows:
Kázim, Sádiq and two `Alí-Muhammad.

If the above names were the exact ones, the two `Alí-Muhammad indicates that after the passing of the first child, the second named after him!

Thank you. Looks like this will require more research for dates and such. More to learn!

As I recall, Adib Taherzadeh's, "Covenant of Baha'u'llah" might have some details on family such as this.

Off topic, there is an interesting interchange with 'Abdu'l-Baha speaking to a lady who had lost her daughter and where He reveals that He lost a son at four years old: http://en.bahaitext.org/Star_of_the_Wes ... ue_9#pg102
