11 FAITHS HELP ENVIRONMENT

MANCHESTER, England -- Representatives from 11 world faiths met last month in Nepal to find ways to help improve the environment.
Led by the Alliance of Religions and Conservation and the World Wildlife Fund, they pledged to combat forest and marine destruction, climate change and other issues. Taking part in the `Sacred Gifts for a Living Planet` assembly were representatives from Baha'i, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Jainism, Judaism, Islam, Shintoism, Sikhism, Taoism and Zoroastrianism.
