City of Brampton: International Day of Peace

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO--

You Can Make a Difference

Peace is inevitable - You Can Make a Difference is the message that will be sent by the City of Brampton's First Annual International Day of Peace Celebration on Wednesday, September 20/00. The Multifaith Council partnered with the City of Brampton will host a presentation in the atrium of City Hall at 12 noon. Bringing together cultures of the world and promoting peace will be the focus of this day. Representation will be from such groups and individuals as; Mayor Peter Robertson, The First Nations, The Mississauga Bahai Youth Dance Workshop, Peel District and DufferinPeel Catholic District School Boards, R. Gerald Filson, Director of External Affairs, the Bahai Faith Council of Canada, David McKeown of Peel Health, the students of Iqra Islamic School. This is a day when we encourage everyone to come together and be a partof the celebration.
