Peace Church Fall Harvest Festival Sunday
Peace Church will hold its annual Fall Harvest Festival on Sunday, Sept. 22. There will be tons of turkey, vegetables and apple squares. The
public is invited. Proceeds will benefit the Befriender’s Program. The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 12, free to
children younger than 5, or $20 per family. The church is also celebrating its 130th anniversary as a congregation. There will be a choral
reading at the worship services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. This was written by Tom Isbell, UMD Theatre professor, and will be performed by

Methodist conference to consider racism, injustice
First United Methodist Church will host a three-day conference called “Justice For All: Living the Way of Jesus” Friday through Sunday,
Sept. 27-29, to discover how racism and social injustice permeate our lives and learn what Christians can do to lead the cause toward social
justice for all people. Dr. Rev. Dorsey Blake, an African American theologian from San Francisco, Calif., will deliver the keynote address.

Jews for Jesus program set for Wednesday
Jews For Jesus will present “Christ in the Feast of Tabernacles” on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Mount of Olives Baptist Church, 3210 Decker
Road. The presentation aims to enrich the church’s understanding of the gospel by going back to the Jewish roots of the Christian faith.
This sermonic demonstration uses a variety of visual aids to show the rich history of the feast and its attendant traditions. For more
