Iranian National Baha'i Archives (INBA) index

A few years before the so-called Islamic revolution in Iran, the Iranian NSA issued instructions for a large section of the collection held in Tihran Archives, second best in the Bahá'í world, to be copied and sent outside of Iran for safekeeping. (I'm not revealing any secrets here, all of this is already discussed by MacEoin & Amanat.) This collection of manuscripts was a total of 99 volumes, with 4 additional volumes of index -- see attached for a detailed description -- and is called INBA series, Iranian National Bahá'í Archives. I believe 50 copies of the entire collection was sold at cost. A few sets were purchased in Iran, but mostly were sent outside. Several complete and many partial sets can be located in north America. This collection is worth its weight in gold.

I went through the list of INBA volumes that you have posted on Talisman in answer to Dr. Iskandar Hai's message. I noticed the missing titles for few of the volumes so I thought of sharing with you and other friends who received your message the completed Table of entries. As I mentioned in my message to Dr. Hai, it is important to know that these volumes are not in a positions to be used for Scholary research without consulting the ORIGINAL manuscripts that were used to make these set. This is due to the numerous errors found in these volumes. Many of the volumes containing the writings of the Bab needs lots of attention--the same is, more or less, true about the other volumes of this set.
