The Resource Guide for the Scholarly Study
of the Bahá'í Faith, by Robert Stockman and Jonah Winters (Wilmette: USBNC Research Office, 1997) is a comprehensive research tool
with numerous material and appendixes for the student or scholar. Includes
curriculum guides, extensive annotated bibliographies, and other tools
for academic use. Start with the topical guide to scholarship.
The website adherents.com features detailed statistics of the numbers of believers of hundreds of different religious traditions, listed country-by-country. The Baha'i section starts at www.adherents.com/Na_38.html#351 and continues at www.adherents.com/Na_39.html and subsequent pages. See also sections on Babism starting at www.adherents.com/Na_38.html#342. These statistics are not entirely accurate. For example, BUPC is listed at 144,000 rather than the actual 1,000 or so, and the worldwide Baha'i numbers are put at 7.6 million, or 2 million more than the Baha'is themselves count. -J.W.
