Europe Shoghi Effendi, Life of; Avarih (Abdul-Husayn); Covenant-breakers
1927 mid-Oct Shoghi Effendi announces the defection of 'Abdu'l-Husayn Ávarih. He had been a very successful teacher and the author of a book on the history of the Faith but opposed Shoghi Effendi's efforts to build the Administrative Order.   • After his defection he became a Muslim and an opponent of the Baha'i Faith. He returned to Tehran and spent the rest of his life as a secondary school teacher.
