||The Universal House of Justice, in a message to all National Spiritual Assemblies, announces the formation of a new administrative body, the Regional Bahá'í Council, something that is already in practice in a few areas. [See 23 May, 1986 for example.]

|| The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of the United States announced the results of the elections for their first Regional Councils. Four were elected in the regions corresponding to those mentioned in The Tablets of the Divine Plan.
