Dear Friends,

We would like to take this opportunity to announce the launch of an important inter-faith CD titled "Meditations: Selections from World Scriptures." We believe this CD has great potential for contributing to the cause of love, harmony, and brotherhood among diverse people of the earth throughout the globe; of whatever religious or spiritual persuasion they may be.

This project, sponsored by the Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Austin, Texas, is the fruit of a year of labor. The CD contains captivating selections from the sacred scripture of six world religions (Bahá’í, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, and Muslim) with original soft and soothing music composed and performed by 18-year old identical twin Bahá’í sisters Danielle and Crystal Morales of Austin. The cover of the CD is adorned with a glorious image of the Indian Lotus Temple set in a surreal sunset sky (see the attached image). The top of the cover is also beautified with the religious symbols (logos) of the six great religions of humankind.

The CD can be used in a wide variety of settings for individual, group, and community meditation in Bahá’í and non-Bahá’í settings. For instance, Bahá’ís can listen to the enchanting passages and music of this CD in solitude or in groups during the month of Fasting, at Feasts, Holy Days, Firesides, Public Proclamations, Race Unity Day, World Religions Day, Sunday worship sessions with non-Bahá’í guests, and so on. Non-Bahá’í friends can make use of the meditations on this CD for any kind of religious or spiritual programs they may deem appropriate.

The Morales sisters, professionally known as the Jumelle ("Twins" in French) have an incredible story. They are almost totally blind and deaf yet, they have been composing original music since age seven! When they were born, they weighed a mere pound and a half each and doctors held little hope of survival for them. However, they not only survived but thrived. Today, they play a wide array of musical instruments, including piano, violin, cello, and guitar, have produced one professional CD, and have contributed to this meditation CD, as well. They have recently begun receiving performance invitations from different corners.

Due to the noble and lofty goals of this project, we would like to ask you to kindly forward this note to your friends as well as mail-lists / list-serves who may be interested in such a CD. Copies of the CD are now available for purchase at the Jumelle site:

The CD will also be available next month via:

This CD also makes a great Ayyam-i-Ha or Naw-Ruz gift. We're hoping to soon have the CD available via several non-Bahá’í outlets on the web.

Thanks very much.

Warmest regards,
Farnaz and Bijan Ma'sumian
