I have the images on my hard drive only. I would upload them to a server where you could download them either by http or ftp. I would upload them for you one folder (5-10 images, usually) at a time, and zip them. If you have broadband, like DSL or cable, you could download each zipped folder in seconds or minutes -- each folder would be 1-5MB.
