Philosophy, Science and the Bahá'í Faith

Philosophy, Science and the Bahá'í Faith will be the new theme of the 'Irfán Colloquium 2003. The sessions will be separately held in English and in Persian. Seminar on the studies of the Bahá'í Writings taking place as integral part of the colloquium will start a new series on the Writings of the Báb and Abdu'l-Bahá.

The program includes presentations on Qayyumu'l-Asmá (Commentary on Qur'án's chapter of Joseph) and the Treatise on Sulúk (Mystic Search) from the Writings of the Bab and Tablets known as Hizar Bayti (One Thousand Lines), Secret of Divine Civilization, Siyasiyyih (Treatise on Politics), Tablet to August Forel, Tablet on Muhabbat (Love), Tablet of 'Ammih ( the Aunt) and Tablets of Divine Plan from the Writings of Abdu'l-Bahá as well as other topics such as the "Image of Christ in the Writings of Abdu'l-Bahá", "Children in the Writings of Abdu'l-Bahá", "Bahá'í Existentialism" and "Unity, Spirituality and Progressive Revelation".

Among the presenters will be Dr. Amin Banani, Habib Riazati, Dr. Muin Afnani, Dr. Ian Kluge, Ala' Quds, David Bikman, Maryam Afshar, Dr. Heshmat Shariari, Dr. Sadegh Farhabngi, Dr. Fiona Missaghian-Moghaddam, Wolfgang Klebel, Soheila Afnani, and others.
