Dear Friends,

Please share and forward this with all those who you feel
would be interested and share it at Feast with your
communities. This will be a VERY exciting event!

The Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of New Paltz joyfully
announce a special arts celebration of the Day of the
Covenant to be held at Lake Mohonk, New York on Wednesday
night November 25, 1998. This special arts celebration will
serve to commemorate the anniversary of 'Abdu'l-Baha's visit
to Lake Mohonk in 1912 and to celebrate the life of 'Abdu'l-
Baha as the Center of the Covenant. The site of this
celebration is especially significant in that Lake Mohonk
hosted the 1912 Peace and Arbitration Conference to which
'Abdu'l-Baha spoke during his visit to the West. Lake Mohonk
is a very beautiful resort hotel which sits atop a mountain
in New Paltz NY, 1 1/2 hours north of New York City (and
just 15 minutes from the New York Thruway). The celebration
will be held in the very room in which Abdu'l-Baha spoke,
will highlight the talk which He gave, and will include on
display the rug which the Master presented to Albert Smiley
after the conference concluded.

The Spiritual Assembly of Baha'is of New Paltz invite
artists, musicians, dancers, writers & poets to participate
in this special occasion. We are looking for a very diverse
and exciting program which will include all of the arts
disciplines in one great celebration of the Covenant of
Baha'u'llah. Local media will be contacted and the public in
general will be invited to this special event, so this night
will be both a celebration and a proclamation!!! Artists are
encouraged to remember that their performances should be
geared to those who are not Baha'is.

Artists who would be interested in performing at this event,
please send us your proposed performance either in the form
of cassette tape, video tape or in written form by October
23rd to this address:
