Abstract: This study presents the luminous Epistle revealed by the Báb to His beloved uncle, Ḥájí Mírzá Siyyid ʿAlí, the Greatest Uncle, on the twenty-fourth of Jumádí al-Thání, 1261 A.H. (30 June 1845), at Konár-Takhteh en route to Shíráz. Its revelation occurred amid a period of profound trial: Mullá Ṣādiq-i-Khurásání and his companions, steadfast in proclaiming the newly revealed Cause, had suffered grievous persecution at the hands of the populace and provincial authorities, their lives imperiled and their dignity assaulted. As the Báb journeyed from Búshihr, He received full tidings of these outrages and of the calumnies circulated against Him. Unshaken by the storm of opposition, He, in serene composure, addressed His uncle in this brief but weighty Tablet, recounting the events with perfect awareness and affirming the unfailing protection of God.
