abstract noteThe 95 poems in this book, arranged in five sections each with 19 poems, can be thought of as travelers notes along the path of faith, dealing both with questions of faith in general and with some of the stories and teachings of the Bahá'í Faith, including poems inspired by the experience of Bahá'í pilgrimage. While these poems have emerged over decades from the poet's experience as a Bahá'í, the spiritual message in each poem has multiple layers of meaning that will invite reflection from all readers. Though the poems stand on their own, there are extensive notes to assist readers not familiar with the Bahá'í Faith, with short quotations from the Bahá'í Writings to invite further reflection. Written in a variety of forms, these poems are accessible to a wide audience of many ages and backgrounds. It is the poet's hope that his poems will serve the readers' private reflections, to spark meaningful conversations, and add to the richness of community gatherings for collective worship, devotion and inspiration.
