Notes 'Babism' Perhaps underscoring the importance of the Bábi movement in the eyes of the editor(s) of The Nation, the following notice about Zell's Univeral Cyclopedia begins with a note about Bábism: "Those interested in the history and progress of Babism will find a résumé of the subject based on the very latest intelligence and appreciation of this remarkable sect, in the newest issue of Zell's Univeral Cyclopaedia, sub verbo. As this important work progresses in monthly parts, we have been pleased to see other evidences of a purpose to keep the articles abreast with the knowledge of the present time; and although there must needs be more or less coming short of this standard amid the numberless particulars of such a combination of dictionaries, the spirit in which the cyclopaedia is edited is what it should be, and the errors are, as we pointed out in our review of it, comparatively few and inconsiderable."
