Abstract Music by Adelaide Fredrika. Written in a language animated by lofty imagery and prophetic tone, the author recounts a dream and proclaims the "Dawn of the New Day:" In the preface she writes, "The Dream occurred in 1896, about four o'clock in the morning. A little over a year had elapsed before the first prophetic symbol was fulfilled -- when I was privileged with many others to receive the Message, typified in the symbol of the Lote Tree, the Tree that was Veiled, and the Table whereon was placed the Living Water and the Bread.
"The acceptance of the Message opened my eyes to the full significance of the Dream, although the meaning hidden in most of the hieroglyphics of the phantom picture was still a sealed and unrevealed chapter of mystery to me.
"With the going out of the year 1900, and the dawn of the new century, there came into my life two souls gifted with spiritual discernment, who pointed out to me the deeper and inner motif running through the symbols. Thus I obtained the complete interpretation of that which is yet to come to pass."
Early translations of the Hidden Words of Baha'u'llah appear before each chapter of the book.
