| abstract | "El Abha" was privately published by Thornton Chase in 1911. It was then printed in Star of the West, v.3 no.12 (October 16, 1912). A notice in The Nautilus (Holyoke, MA), v.14 no.4 (Feb. 1912) states: —"'El Abha' (The Light) is a little poem by Thornton Chase, inspired by Bahaiism. Printed on brown paper, bound in paper, price 25c. Address Eaton’s Art Shop, Eugene, Ore." It is unclear whether Eaton's Art Shop was simply selling the self-published item, or whether it was the printer. |
