Abstract	The author, a prominent Unitarian minister and pacifist, writes glowingly of "the famous sect of the Bahaists," about its history and resolute stand against violence in the face of bitter persecution: "'Let not a man glory in this, that he loves his country,' says Baha'ollah, in one of the noblest statements which has ever fallen, like sweet music, upon the human heart, 'let him rather glory in this, that he loves his kind.'" In the appendix, he writes: "To these ancient religious writings must be added the literature associated with Bahaism. Few nobler utterances on peace have been produced in any age than those which may be found in the Tablets of Baha'ollah and Abdul Baha."
