Abstract	The classic introduction to the Bahá'í Faith, which Shoghi Effendi said would inpire generations yet unborn. Primarily directed to a Christian audience. Revised extensively in 1937, 1950 and 1970 to update the book in light of new developments "with a minimum of alteration to the text and chiefly by use of footnotes and of an epilogue giving current statistics."
Notes	The 1942 printing is indistinguishable from the 1940 printing because no reprint statement was included.
