abstract	This document is a proposal addressed to the participants of the "First Annual Conference Towards a Global Congress of World Religions, San Francisco, November 27, 28, 1977" and prepared by the faculty of the Unification Theological Seminary which was founded by Rev. Sun Myung Moon. The document proposes that the religions of the world join together to convene such a congress. The writers acknowledge the past efforts to unite the religions of the world, and place "the religion of Bahai" at the top of a list that includes the World Parliament of Religions in 1893 and more recent ecumenical movements.
