| abstract | The author, Dan Russell, is a follower of Seth, an entity channelled by Jane Roberts and recorded by her husband, Robert Butts. The author's father was a dedicated Bahá'í, while Russell had been a Bahá'í from age 15 until his 40's, "when I mentally withdrew from it because of its history of martyrdom and persecution. (Seth: 'Suffering is not good for the soul, unless it teaches you how to stop suffering. That is its purpose.'...)." After recounting the good things he learned from the Bahá'í Faith, he again returns to the issues of persecution and martyrdom and ends with, 'Me? I'd rather have fun. How about you?' |
