Miller tells of his "pleasant and profitable" meeting with Shoghi Effendi and visit to the shrine of 'Abdu'l-Bahá in 1923. He tells of Christian converts who left the faith to become Bahá'ís; of his decision to write an 'accurate' account of the Bahá'í Faith in 1924 ("I discovered that in many respects the Baha'i accounts of the history and teachings of their faith were incorrect"); of an unpleasant exchange with a group of Bahá'ís in Persia (Nov. 1928); and of the publication of his work by Dr. Robert Speer in 1932 ("It was my hope that the book would keep some people from being led astray by Baha'i propaganda. As a result of publishing this book I became involved in Baha'ism and in correspondence with Baha'is and others interested in this movement for the rest of my life."). Additionally, he recounts his work of publishing the Aqdas ("This effort of mine resulted in my being considered by Baha'is as their special enemy and an evil person") and The Baha'i Faith, Its History and Teachings in 1974.
