Abstract	A version of the Bahá'í Faith's development by a former Protestant missionary in Iran. The author, who is unsympathetic to the Bahá'í Faith, relies for documentation on Jalal Azal, an inveterate enemy of the Bahá'í movement. While presenting an air of scholarly detachment, the survey is directed so as to present the Bahá'í Faith in as unfavorable a light as possible.
