Abstract	A survey of anti-Bahá'í efforts and propaganda in Iran, especially the 1955 pogrom initiated by Falsafi and the association of the Bahá'í Faith with Zionism. The author notes some clerics' efforts to save Bábís and Bahá'ís, indicating that a universality Shiah ethic could recognize the humanity of Bahá'ís and their right to freedom of religion.
