Abstract This study examines globalization and universal religiosity, elucidating the connection between these two phenomena and illustrating this relationship through the example of the Bahá'í Faith. The methodology of ethnohistory was selected as the primary research approach. Globalization is intrinsically linked to human mobility—a phenomenon that has accelerated significantly in the modern era, ultimately becoming global in scope. Universal religiosity is grounded in the recognition that human beings possess a dual nature—at once material and spiritual—and that, consequently, the religious impulse itself constitutes a human universal. As humanity has matured into a global society, its progress must be grounded not only in material terms but also in spiritual ones, thereby bringing the realm of religiosity to the forefront. The Bahá'í Faith is predicated on the concept that humanity is undergoing a developmental process driven by impulses derived from progressive divine revelation. It posits that a globalized society has now attained a stage of collective maturity—a stage that fosters a sense of collective responsibility and holds the potential to lead to comprehensive justice. The Bahá'í Faith offers a living model of a unified global society. The findings of this study demonstrate that religion is the product of historical evolution and is so inextricably interwoven with the history of humanity that it constitutes a pivotal factor in socio-cultural anthropological research—one that cannot be overlooked.
