abstract The question of the Baha'i approach to the reading of Scripture is a multi-faceted one and it is only possible here to approach one aspect of the subject. This chapter, therefore, initially presents a few facts about the Baha'i Faith, as it is still little known, and then goes on to look specifically at how Baha'u'llah, the founder of the Baha'i Faith, approaches the reading of the Scriptures of other religions; how he reads, or rather re-reads, these in a creative and innovative manner so as to set the scene for his own claims.
