Abstract Many societies reject groups perceived as new, alien or theatening to traditional religious monopoly. Egypt is no exception. The case of the Bahá'í Faith is an example. The author provides a historical overview, how the law and media are used against the Bahá'ís, and reviews the somber prospects for the foreseeable future.
