abstract Baha'i is a religion dating in Vietnam from the 1920s. To survive and develop as it is today, this religious community has gone through a process with many changes. The Vietnamese Baha'i Community has had a strong development in many localities throughout the country, especially in many northern provinces such as Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Nam Dinh, Bac Giang, and Son La, Hoa Binh, Hai Phong and Hanoi. Within the limits of Hanoi capital, the Baha'i community is carrying out activities demonstrating its social functions in a number of areas: moral education and life; participation in social action;and support for environmental protection. The Baha'i Vietnamese community with small communities of believers forms a network of social relations made up of individuals sharing the same beliefs and faith in God.
