Abstract	McGlinn argues that there can be no Bahá'í theocracy and that Bahá'u'lláh postulated a permanent separation between religion and institutions of government. This is, however, a misrepresentation of views expressed in authoritative Bahá'í texts and in a letter to him from th Universal House of Justice in 1995.
