Abstract	This paper explores the vision and conception of social transformation posed by Bahá’u’lláh, and clarified by 'Abdu’l-Bahá and Shoghi Effendi, which the Bahá'í world community is trying to realize under the guidance of the Universal House of Justice, the international governing body of this religion. This conception is underpinned by a particular interpretation of history as well as by certain programmatic tenets that expect to progressively deploy an alternative pattern of social organization. This study will be approached under the light of the authoritative writings of the Baha’i Faith, which are the writings of the Báb, of Bahá’u’lláh, of 'Abdu’l-Bahá, of Shoghi Effendi and the statements of the Universal House of Justice.
