| Abstract | "The focus of this research is to find out how the teachings of human unity contained in the Baha’i Religion, then how the effort to make human unity possible to be realized. Seeing the conditions that the history of human civilization is filled with war, killing, and religious violence. With this historical record, the teachings of unity need to be known and understood and can be applied in a special life in the scope of interfaith, namely through spiritual values and interpreting humans essentially. The difference in humans both tribes, religions and races today is a long process of one substance so no reason for humans is for unity. In this study, qualitative methods are used that are orientated in the literature study. Data sources in the form of Baha’ullah’s writings, Abdul Baha’ contained in the books and have been translated into Indonesian by the Indonesian National Spiritual Assembly as well as several sources of both papers and articles related to the discussion of the teachings of unity. In the Baha’i religion it is explained that the essence of man is derived from a single Substance, displayed in various forms after going through the process of a combination of various elements so as to make humans diverse. The Divine Wisdom that in man there is a nobleness that guides man to continue to do good to his neighbor, this spiritual value is the pressure in the teaching of unity, that all human beings from different backgrounds, both women and men are the same. In the world of creation there is no difference, nothing is more advantaged or disadvantaged. Everything in this world is based on elements that are united so that it becomes a certain form, then there is no other choice for the continuity of human life is except unity. The collected data was then analyzed with the typology put forward by Joachim Wach. Based on the typology of Joachim Wach about three kinds of religious experiences to obtain the form of expression, namely manifested in the form of thought, action, and communion. With the first typology of doctrines related to the teachings of human unity contained in the Baha’i religion, then discussing how the teachings of unity are interpreted in an effort to achieve the realization of a human unity in the world. In this way, this writing has a clear direction and purpose of discussion, so that the understanding of the teachings of unity in the Baha’i religion can be understood." |
