Abstract	The chapter is an inadequate review of Baha'i history in relation to Shiism. The author's sources are often biased ones, such as William McElwee Miller (a long-term opponent of the Baha'i Faith). There is a Marxist interpretation that the author borrowed from Greussing, with the claim that Baha'u'llah was opposed by the Shiah clergy because He was "favorable to Europe." The author claims that Baha'u'llah "moved" from place to place, failing to note that He was imprisoned and exiled to these places. The map of Persia in the 19th century is actually a map of the Persian Empire in the 5th century C.E. The author correctly notes that the Baha'i Faith is critical of the clerical hierarchy in Islam.
