Abstract	Shortly after the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Paridokht Khaze loses her husband Hossein, who is executed as a member of the Bahá'í religious minority by the henchmen of the new rulers. That is not the end, but only the beginning of their story. In years of confrontation with the rulers, she brings the circumstances of the murder of her husband into the public eye. She fights against the expropriation of their common home and their possessions - and struggles with courage and tenacity to bring their closest henchmen to account. But she has to pay for this with imprisonment.
