| Abstract | Beginning with the Prophet Adam, human history has witnessed many different civilizations. Although, under different titles and rituals, numerous beliefs have emerged, the common point of them has been being tied to holiness. Appearing in various forms, in the practice of this holiness, the owned culture, the expectations based on economic, social and political backgrounds of that society are some of the decisive factors. These factors have sometimes made people get together and sometimes pulled them apart. For these reasons, different belief systems in the same regions have gained similar beliefs and practices under different names. The majority of our country belongs to the belief of Sunni Islam. Apart from this prevalent belief, various interpretations of Islam such as Alawi-Bektashism and Bahaism, which can be named as New Religious Movements, are also encountered. In this study, we will try to make a brief comparison of “Indulgence” and “Expulsion” notions in Alawi-Bektashism and Bahaism which can be defined as being excluded from society resulting from behaving against the norms of these beliefs. |
