Abstract	At a time when imperialism was at its peak and colonialism reached its greatest extent, during which a handful of European powers enslaved half the earth's surface and more than a third of the world's entire population, a new light of divine guidance was born in the Eastern part of the world, promising humanity the dawn of a new era of peace, universal love, and the establishment of the oneness of all humankind. This light of divine guidance was to be bestowed upon humanity in the mid-nineteenth century through the unique Revelation of Bahá'u'lláh, a Revelation that represents the fulfillment of all previous prophetic missions and, through its principles, is to enable every human being to rise to the service of all humankind and to actively participate in the building of a new world. This two-volume work illuminates the life and work of His Holiness Bahá'u'lláh, focusing in particular on the overwhelming claim and station of the "Best-beloved of the Worlds."
