| Abstract | It is not easy to identify where the concept that the law must be obeyed comes from. This article first traces some notes on the role played by some religions of the past in the development and consolidation of what is now known as governance. It then identifies a number of elements from the teachings of the Bahá'í Faith that might relate to global governance, which emerged throughout the 19th century and have been practiced around the world ever since, in many places as its first democratic experience. |
