Abstract	After having participated in the commemoration of the centenary of the passing of Sir 'Abbás Effendi, who died in Haifa on 28 November 1921, with the publication of the volume Il Maestro e la Parola, dedicated above all to literary aspects of the work of this illustrious person, the Association For Bahá'í Studies “Alessandro Bausani” now presents a second volume: Il mio nome è 'Abdu'l-Bahá: Biografia ragionata di Sir 'Abbas Effendi. Sir 'Abbás Effendi (better known as' Abdu'l-Bahá), born in Tehran in 1844 to a noble Persian family, was expelled from his native land in 1852 along with his father, founder of a reform movement strongly opposed in Persia. Lived for most of his life in the Holy Land, where in 1868 he was exiled by the Turkish Sultan together with his family, he dedicated his whole life to the practical and theoretical dissemination of the reform advocated by his father, traveling to Egypt, Europe, the United States and in Canada and producing a mass of interesting writings still little known in the West. In his speeches and writings he challenged the prevailing assumptions and thinking of that period and tried to make everyone understand that humanity was about to enter a new era, full of challenges and difficulties, as it later became clear. but at the same time full of opportunities to find a fruitful and desirable unity in thought and action. Il mio nome è 'Abdu'l-Bahá unfolds in nine chapters and four appendices and briefly exposes his life and especially his works, illustrating his innovative vision of modernity, institutional reform and socio-cultural rationalization and philosophy on which this vision is based.
