Abstract This article examines the problems and prospects of international intervention on behalf of Iran's Baha'i minority. This group has faced sustained persecution and human rights abuses by the Iranian government. Despite the Baha'i faith's significant presence in Iran since its inception nearly two centuries ago, followers have encountered severe discrimination, including arbitrary detention, denial of education and employment, destruction of religious sites, and even execution based on their faith. The international community's response, including sanctions, diplomatic efforts, and public condemnations, has yet to yield significant improvements in the conditions for the Baha'i. This essay explores the historical context of Baha'i persecution, the current landscape of international responses, and the challenges in mobilizing effective international action. It assesses the potential for intervention within the frameworks of the United Nations Security Council and the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) principle, considering both the legal and practical hurdles. Furthermore, it suggests a multifaceted strategy involving legal avenues, digital diplomacy, economic pressures, and geopolitical negotiations as a viable pathway to support Iran's Baha'i minority. Despite the complexities and risks associated with the intervention, the essay underscores the need for a coordinated, international effort to address the human rights violations against the Baha'i community in Iran, emphasizing the importance of upholding global human rights standards and religious freedom.
