Abstract	This book tells the story of the development of the Bahá’í Faith Community in Nashville, Tennessee from its earliest years in 1915. The story is told in the context of a Southern city during the Jim Crow era, and how both Black and White individuals came togerher to form an integrated religious community despite the laws mandating segregation of the races. The story includes Bahá’í luminaries such as Louis G. Gregory, who received his undergraduate degree from Fisk University, and returned to Nashville time and again to share the principles of the Bahá’í Faith with the African-Americans in the city. A "group of white ladies" had also heard about this new religion and eventually the two groups met together to form one cohesive community.
