Abstract This is a story of a lady, who overcame many challenges while working abroad as a nurse, raising four girls, earning college degrees alongside her children.
She was in the team of nurses who worked with one of the doctors who started one of the first AIDS clinical trials in the US, at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and worked after retirement with Columbia University and University of Washington at Seattle on Aids related programs in Ethiopia, Cameroons, Kenya and Tanzania. Upon our retirements, Grace spent most of her time in Kenya, and sometimes in the US. Grace started farming grains and vegetables and ventured into rearing chicken and sheep, was nominated on the board of management of both primary and secondary schools and frequently consulted on medical related matters.
It is a story that teaches us to be hardworking, friendly, loving, willing to sacrifice, know and worship God and serve humankind with honesty, kindness and humility. Not all are the same, but we can always make a difference wherever we are and whatever we do.

The Library of Congress abstract ends with a Bahá'í invocation.
