| abstract note | The Bahá'í Faith is a new religious movement that emerged in Iran in the 19th century within the Shia tradition. It was named after the founding person Mirza Hüseyin Ali (d. 1309/1892), known as "Bahá'u'lláh", which means "praise of God". It accepts Bahá'u'lláh as the prophet, the honor of God, the founder of a religious orientation that brings all religions to perfection. Bábí-Bahá'í movement developed in the center of Shia Islam understanding in Iran. It is also known that in the background of this movement, there is the Sheikhi sect, which is a mystical interpretation of the Imami Shia. Ictihad Magazine occupies an important place in Turkish cultural history together with the magazines in the last period of Ottoman publication. These magazines contain a great treasure for the social, political and cultural life of the transition from the Tanzimat to the Republic. In this study, we will examine the Bahá'í Faith and the activities of this religious movement in Anatolia through an article written by Emin Ali in the 40th issue of the Ictihad Mecm'asi of 31 Kanunevvel 1921. Periodicals are products that provide very important data to understand the culture, sociology, social events and phenomena of a period. It can be said that with the proclamation of the Second Constitutional Era, intellectuals and politicians who hoped that all social problems would be solved, their astonishment, exuberance, excitement and polemics significantly stood out in the periodicals of the constitutionalism. |
